Ancestry in Progress (2025)

An animated collage of sound and image exploring the complex struggles of becoming a proud Asian-American. Sound design by Ritsu Katsumata. Visuals by Stafford Hiroshi Smith. Presented at the 2025 International Conference on New Directions in the Humanities in Hilo, Hawaii. Exhibited at Bucknell University, Holmes Hall, November–December 2025.

"Gato Negro" — AAPI Festival Chicago (2024)

An urban reinterpretation of the Japanese traditional song "Moon Over Ruined Castle," reimagined as a cat prowling through city ruins. Performed at the second annual AAPI Festival hosted by Oh Arts Foundation at Zhou B Building, Chicago.

"Of Thee I Sing" — Grand Rapids Art Museum (2018)

A soundscape composed in response to the widening political divide following the 2016 elections. Performed as a live duet with Intersections, the landmark installation by Anila Quayyum Agha. Patriotic songs are fragmented and blurred, then blended with Prince's Purple Rain — a hymn that dissolves red and blue into one.
