Our work speaks for itself
Sound & Vision
Ritsu Katsumata is one of the rare people who has performed at both Carnegie Hall and CBGB's — and she has never seen a contradiction in that. Her classical training informs postmodern compositions that juxtapose unlikely partners: Bach and Ozzie Osbourne, Pachelbel and Led Zeppelin, patriotic hymns and Prince. Elements from pop, metal, anime, Butoh, religious chants, and classical music challenge and captivate audiences in equal measure.
The work here is collaborative by nature — made with dancers, visual artists, filmmakers, installation designers, and fellow musicians.
